Educator. Mentor. Storyteller.

In addition to my work in journalism, I’m passionate about teaching the next generation of visual storytellers. I serve as a faculty member for the NPPA News Video Workshop, where I’ve mentored hundreds of up-and-coming journalists from across the country.

I’m also a frequent speaker at storytelling conferences and education platforms, where I share real-world lessons from the field and help students and professionals sharpen their storytelling instincts.

My tutorials have been used in journalism programs at both the college and high school level, including:

  • Syracuse University – Newhouse School

  • University of Missouri (Mizzou)

  • Michigan State University

  • Florida Gulf Coast University

  • Gulf Coast State College

  • Ball State University

  • Fresno State

  • Gonzaga University
